Enrollment & Registration
Enrollment
We welcome all students living within the Ellensburg School District who meet state age and health requirements. To register a new student for the upcoming school year, please use the links below. If you are unsure which school your child will attend or if your address is within district boundaries, contact the Transportation Office at (509) 925-8100.
For families living outside district boundaries, please refer to the Choice Transfer section below. For all other specific enrollment questions, please contact your child’s school directly.

If your family is new to the Ellensburg School District, or if you were here before and are coming back, you’ll need to fill out the full enrollment form to get started. You’ll be asked to upload documents showing your current address (utility bill or lease) and proof of age (birth certificate or passport). The school will also ask for vaccination records. If you got your shots in another state, please bring a record from a doctor or clinic. If you’re living with someone else and don’t have a bill or lease in your name, complete the special verification form with your host. Your full legal name (as on your birth certificate) will be used for all school records. Download the Residency Verification Form
-
If your family already lives in the Ellensburg School District but you just moved to a different house or apartment, you’ll need to let the school know your new address. To do that, upload a document that proves your current residence, such as a utility bill or lease agreement.
-
If you already have a child enrolled in Ellensburg schools and are signing up a new student, log in to Skyward Family Access and choose New Student Online Enrollment. This quicker process still requires uploading proof of age (birth certificate or passport) and vaccination records if not already on file in Washington’s system.

Home SchoolingFamilies choosing to homeschool their student(s) must complete and submit the required forms to remain in compliance with Washington State law and Ellensburg School District policies. Below you’ll find the forms needed to begin or continue home-based instruction. Please review each carefully and return all completed documents to the district office by the required deadlines.
