ASVAB CEP Assessment

For All Juniors (Class of 2027)

Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2027:

On Wednesday, October 29, all juniors will participate in the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery – Career Exploration Program (ASVAB CEP) assessment.

The ASVAB CEP is not just a military test; it is a nationally recognized career exploration assessment that helps students identify their strengths and connect them to a wide range of potential career pathways. The program provides valuable feedback on skills in areas such as math, science, technical knowledge, and verbal ability. Students will then use these results in conjunction with the ASVAB Career Exploration tools to explore both civilian and military careers, as well as educational and training options after high school.

I want to emphasize clearly that ASVAB results from this administration will not be released to military recruiters or services. Our district is committed to protecting student privacy and ensuring that this opportunity is focused solely on supporting career and college readiness for all students.

As a follow-up to the assessment, all juniors will participate in a Career Discovery Class in November or December. During this session, students will review their results, learn what the scores mean, and explore how their strengths align with future careers, education, and training opportunities. This step ensures that every student has the chance to reflect on their results and apply them to their High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP).

There is no cost for students or families, and no preparation is required. If you would like to opt your student out of the ASVAB CEP assessment, please complete this Google Opt-Out Form by Monday, October 27.
